Bad plug
#1
600 odd miles on my new S now. I had the same symptoms as many others have reported here in the 3-4K RPM range the car would yoyo unless you drove like a granny or floored it. You could still feel a little yoyo even when flooring it.
I noticed that one of the plug leads looked a little melted near the engine cover - you could see the blue insulation under the black outer sheath of the lead.
Took it to the dealer today and replaced the lead and plug.
Bad plug - too much resistance caused a higher current draw through the lead and had melted it.
Now my yoyo is a hell of a lot better - I get just a slight twitch at the 3K RPM mark.
I still have the hiccup that most of us know about. Hope to get the pulley done next week to fix that.
Hope this helps someone with an uncontrolable yoyo.

I also noticed , when changing to the Magnecors, that one of my plug wires was resting against the top of the plug - still a connection, but not snapped on to the plug (rubber boot was the only thing holding them together enough to keep the circuit!) ... yo all might want to go check yours ...
