If you open ur oil engine cap.. and there is a air presure.. that means that there is sumthing wrong with your engine right ???
even my fan keep running between time to time.. but my engine temp is normal .. wut do you think guyz
I'm not sure pressure after releasing the oil fill cap has means anything is wrong. It's normal for the system to build pressure.
As for the fan, the fan does indeed run whenever the coolant is hot, regardless of whether the car is on, off, etc. The water temp gauge in the car functions only when the car is overheating, or cold. It doesn't move at all basically unless your car is about to overheat and steam is shooting out from under the hood, or the car is ice cold because it's been sitting all night.
that's just blow bye . while at idle it should be very low though . if it feels like something you havn't experienced with another car , then it's time for a compression test .
All 4-cylinder engines create an pulsating crankcase pressure that will show up when the oil cap is removed when the engine is running. This is normal. To test for positive pressure, place your hand over the oil fill opening. You should not feel either an increasing pressure or vacuum. You will feel the pulsations though. Do not do this with a hot engine, however. Ouchy-ouch can result from hot oil.
i looked at a 96 mustang 4.6 a while back and if you pull the oil cap off the rpms changed drastically . also when i pulled the pcv tube off the pcv there was zero vacuum to the intake tube . i walked away . it's like the intake was buggered or something .
