Suspension Front Control Arm replacement, how long does it take?

That is just about one the hardest jobs on the car next to a clutch...Sub frame has to come down in the rear, front bumper and trim...I would opt for getting new lower control arm bushings while your there, for both sides, since the bushings already must be pressed off the back of the arm. Also, get the bushings that come with the bracket, you'll save labor and have them pressed in properly. The bushings with the brackets are only about 10-15 bucks more a side with the bracket versus without.

It should take a shop with a lift about 4 hours, but there is more than one way to approach this task. I think dropping the subframe would be the best method and replacing both control arm bushings at the same time. https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=99725
One more thing that needs to be done not covered in the above how-to is removal of the ball joints.

i wouldnt help this guy, he put the hex on me today so i bent both my front control arms (at the same place, albeit a differnt curb, as where he did his). Yes herman, it is deffinetly one, and i suspect the other, but i cant find the bend). I replaced one of the upper rear control arms, and moved my front toe adjuster (for the rear wheel), looks much better, but i still think its out of whack. Will be in the garage for a while now anyway, ill get it sorted out. I think im going to go for the madness arms to replace them, since im doing both.
by, the way, i blew my dunville budget today i think, so i wont be going to that track day.
Talk to you later
(you know im kidding right, i dont really blame you, or do i....)
