How did you guys manage to take the front strut off? I don't know what it is I am doing wrong but can't seem to get it off. It's too long and i can't fit a spring compressor to compress the springs to make it shorter either.

It's a definite pain in the *** the first time. I had a hell of a time on the passenger side. No matter which way I twisted or rotated the knuckle, it seemed like I couldn't get it down low enough for the bottom of the strut to come out of it's bore. I feel your pain. However, keep working at it and you'll get it. Once you get one done, the other seems to go pretty easy. I've done it three times on my MINI in the last few months. Each subsequent time was easier. Good luck!
Can someone please explain if this seems normal to you? The seat where the spring sits on the H&R is way too big. The H&R springs that came with the kit doesn't even fit, it however fits on the OEM struts fine. Would appreciate any input.
Here is an updated picture of the springs next to the struts. As you can see the bottom of the spring is too small for the base of the strut. I am trying to figure out if I got the wrong parts or not.

without having everything here to play with, I can say that the text can be upsidedown and thus don't use it to insure proper top vs. bottom alignment.
