Suspension Gallery! Show me your lowered MINI!

My wheels are a 17x8 +35, but i run a 10MM in the front and rear usually. So I run around a +25. I am not on bags, but I have maxed out my camber plates and havent rubbed yet.

Looks like I need to do more reasearch before asking a dumb question. I just realized how the plate works. On all my old cars there was a simple washer to be moved etc, so the plate up top concept is quite new to me.

I figured you werent, but knowing my font struts are a bit thicker than stock I didn't want any clearance issues. But i just looked into the plates and I was alittle stupid in my question. I'm wondering how your wheels sit in the rear. Any photos like your front view? I'm messing around with new wheels for next season and ET seems to be a huge issue, especially on air. I'm sitting at 30, but want to run in the 20's somewhat. But don't know how the rear will fit when aired out.

This my rear end with a 10MM spacer (+25 offset)
The camber is entirely natural from the lowering in the rear i have made no camber adjustments.
If you want some more pics I will see what I can find.

I think you could easily get a +20 to +25 to tuck without any major work.

You might want to check fitment on the x9 +35, I just say that cause I know 9 is pretty wide and with a +35 you are going to be sitting about .6" closer to the strut than I am without spacers. With that being said if the stock wheel is a 17x7 +42ish I think is stock you are looking at the new wheels sitting 1 inch closer to the strut atleast. All i would say is make sure you have the half an inch of space. I would check mine but I dont have my car at the moment.
IMO, the best size for an R56 is 17x8 between +35 and +20 offset. for the low game 16x8s arent bad either, as they make you lower without doing anything. Granted visually i think the 17 fills the wheel well the best.
I have run the +25 in the front without much problem, I have a good hunch with my new coilovers and camber up front I can get the +20 17x8 to tuck wheel.

Once the JCW trans is installed in my car I will go back to modding it.

All in how you want the wheels to look and sit. Id say just do a square setup. Unless your going wider in the rear etc.

So since more and more people are lowering minis and a few are trying to slam them.. i feel its a good time to talk about axles, end links and damages.
I am curious if anyone has had axle problems, new noises, clunking, popping, etc after slamming your MCS.
I say this cause I have snapped, broken or damaged 18 axles and 2 transmissions playing this low game. Now sure you can all tell me I am doing it wrong, etc but I have had multiple vendors, shops and race teams talk to me about my problem and my height and we all have come back to the idea that at some point it is too much of an angle and stress on the axle.
Now I know most people slam R53/6s on 16s not 17s which i think is why some people havent had problems, I am on 17s so I have to work harder and ride with my coilovers lower to acquire the same height of someone on 16s.
Anyone have anything to share or add? Just curious as my only solution was really lifting it up.
Again this is related to R56s, NOT R53s - different axle setup, etc.

DRT - great looking clubbie. That first pic is real nice. No need to apologize for whoring. I think we're all guilty of that from time to time - me especially!
See? I can't see dropping the $$$ for coils on my straight Cooper, but I'm very happy with the way he sits on H&R's.
