H&R Springs
17x8 ESM 004 +20 offset w 205/45/17 on natural camber
Wheel place screwed up and gave me +20 instead of 35. Didn't realize until it was too late, surprised they (barely) fit. Its a bit much but i guess its ok if you are into the mega aggressive offset thing. Ride is a bit harsh

Wheels look good - have to meet up so I can see them in person.

NM Springs are not an aggressive drop. Made to keep the handling as close to stock. I have NM springs and noticed that too when I 1st got them. They will eventually go lower in time.

okay thanks, i forgot to measure the ride high before i installed the springs, so i cant really say how much it actually dropped but it doesnt look much lower than stock to me, i like the springs and all just wish the front went lower

Can I say this thread is 78 pages of awesome? Because it is!
Question for the dudes and or dudettes here though (Correct me if this is the wrong thread) Anybody running Ksports? (Krontrol Pros) Ive heard they got a pretty wild drop... And anybody with a R56 having issues with rubbing on the A/C line with the Pass. side transaxle from said lowering??

Ahh that looks so good! Thats the kind of stuff that i'm after haha. I'm gonna pull the trigger on some Ksport coilys come new years. I havent read or heard much good or bad about them, so I feel like i'm kinda risking it. So I guess the question is... How do you feel about your Ksport components? Even though its the airtech...

Ashtonairwaves,
Thanks for the compliment.
The Good:
1. The kit is not bad for the price. However, you can save more money if you know how to put together a kit yourself!
2. The air bags, the tank, the air compressors (ViAir), the remote control, and the control box are built to last.
3. I can adjust the lower mounts and the damping to get a smoth ride, bouncy ride, or a stiff ride for more performance driving.
4. The kit I got is a plug and play kit. There is no monification needed. I only had to drill one hole in my trunk for all the air lines.
5. The remote control is good to have. It tells you how much PSI you have in each air bag.
The Bad:
1. Ksport's customer service/tech support do not know "jack" about air bags!
2. When I lower my MINI, it goes down slow. This is because MINI's are lite cars, they are not heavy cars like the old Chevy's or Ford's. Perhaps, I have to adjust the speed on the remote control to see if I can get my MINI to go up and down faster.
3. I had to cut 1.5" off the top of the front lower mounts, so the front of my MINI can match the back. After I installed my kit, the front was still too high. It was higher than the back, so I had to hack the front lower mounts. In fact my MINI is still too high, I want my MINI on the ground.
4. The kit does not come with any water traps.
The Ugly:
1. The remote control looks out dated and is not user friendly. The remote control looks like something out of the 1990's. (Beepers by Sir Mix-A-Lot)
The Bottom Line:
All in all I'm happy with my set up for now. I just installed everything last weekend, and I did the installation myself. I have never bagged a car before, so this kit was good for someone like me. However, I have yet to see if the kit will last or not. I would not go drifting with my air bags, but I can say they are built solid. I will keep everyone posted if I have any issues.
Thanks for the compliment.

I did measure mine and the front only dropped about 3/4 inch. That's after about 1500 miles, and it hasn't settled at all. I am going to cut the springs to drop the front more.

I havent cut them yet, still trying to decide. the look may grow on me.

The look of lowering is up to the person looking at it, and what they are drawn to first. Some people look at the ground clearance (under the splitter, for example), others look at the rocker panels. Personally, I look at wheel gap, and in my case I had more wheel gap in the front than the rear. It looked odd to me.
Again, just personal opinion. Now that you have had the struts out once, it should only be an hour or so to swap them out and cut the springs.
It is also a good time to install camber plates, if you are so inclined. For my daily driver, I chose the non-adjustable Ireland Engineering ones. If you are a track guy, there are other options that are likely better.
Have fun,
Mike
