Front Lower Control Arms

I was told by the Mini dealer Mechanic that I would have to replace my Front Lower Control Arms in the near future. After looking at my shop manual this looks very expensive. Mini Madnees is the only ones I have found that has after market for ($800) a pair. Does anyone a better solution? Has anyone had this happen to them?

I have not had this happen to me, but if I was replacing them I would go with Madness. I refuse to put the stock heavy stamped steel arms back on for anything. Ryephile has them on here. I am not sure what the dealer wants, but you will probably save money if you buy the Madness and install them yourself.

Or, if you have good fabbing skills you could make your own...

WHY! is the mechanic recommending A-arm replacement, if its just
the a-arm bushings those can be change out to a after market bushing.

This has got to be what the mechanic was referring to.

Anything more than bushings would be a big safety issue i would think.
i would'nt think a mechanic would put out on the street with some
control arm integrity issues

Front Lower Control Arm

I get the picture. How to make a lot of money!

Because I am not knowledgable about the bushings, Who provides the highest quality products and where should I look?

Aloha

the alta PSRS work great. they aren't that expensive. installation, unless you are a serious diy'er, will cost twice the amount of the part. i really like how they have balanced out my set-up.
