H&R Sport Cup Kit

Did a forum search but didn't find any hits. Anyone have these installed? I want to lower and improve handling. There is a huge price gap between H&R Sport springs and Cross coilovers, and these seem to fit in the middle, so how do they perform?

H&R claims the lower a bit more than just the springs - about 2". True? Installed pics?

I was looking into them also since I don't want to do just springs on stock struts. Since they just got out I have not seen anyone selling them. There are two versions one drops the regular just spring drop of 1.4(touring) and the 2.0(sport) you mentioned...

Im in between the sports cup kit, or BC coilovers and then another part of me says just springs. Ultimately want the Cross and was going to get them but thing change and just can't

Just found these online at ALTA. I have the all to common dilemma of trying to decide between lowering springs or coilovers. These look like a good compromise, but after doing a search on NAM this is the only thread I found that mentions them. Anyone install these yet?

Is a drop or ride quality more important to you? I had H&R springs, switched to TSWs. These things handle great, they're a little high but great springs. Whatever you do, add camber.

I'm looking more for improved handling. What interests me about this kit is that it comes with shocks that are matched to the dropped springs for a price that is much lower than coilovers. From reading other threads on the topic everyone seems to agree that if you just change out the springs the OE shocks will fail at some point because they're not matched to the new spring travel. I know I would be giving up the adjustability that coilovers can provide but other than that a spring/shock combo would seem to compare favorably when price is taken into account. Is this correct or am I missing something? Thanks

This isn't true with the TSWs, they're matched to the stock shocks and perform VERY VERY well with them. If you get them and the IE camber plates like I did, you'll be in for a whole new world of neutral and great handling. Generally, the lowering springs are the ones that have issues. My H&Rs were a bit harsher than the TSWs and didn't respond as linearly. If you have any specific questions on the setup let me know, I'm really a huge fan of it.

I had the Cup Kit on my old Focus and it was a fantastic setup FWIW. I don't have a cooper yet but was curious to see if anyone had these too or if any pics were available.

How about some feedback on the tourning kit. I really want something that will give me a comfortable, sporting ride without running on the bumpstops. The forum is packed with great advice on track/autocross setups or folks that don't mind a stiffer ride. I just want to take out some wheel gap without screwing up the car.

If you are after nice ride quality and good drop the kit is for you. It is subtle and under control, it steps up it's game in the twistys on full soft curious what full stiff would be like.
