Anyone install Koni adjustables with stock springs?
I was thinking of doing this to improve handling in the twisties, and on the autox course. I know Per at grassrootsmotorsports did this with some really good results.
I was wondering if the around town handling/feel is also better.

Anyone have input/advice/experience?

As Terry D said, they're not shipping yet but should be in the next few weeks so it's not likely anyone here has the specific experience you are looking for.
From my experience with Koni's in the past I am confident without a doubt that the Yellows will improve handling performance and work fine with stock springs. I'd go as far as to say its the best single suspension component upgrade from a performance standpoint.

a number of NAMers put the R53 Koni Yellows on their R56. Some vendors didn't clearly spell out they weren't designed for the R56 and just included adapters in their kit to make it work. If he did the install a while ago, that may be what he did, or maybe as you say he received the new ones in advance of general release. I know they'll be great! The JCW shocks are good but being able to adjust to personal preference will probably work out at least a little better.

Ok so it looks like these are available now:

To stay within GS for autox you have to use the same spring perch and stuff right?
Also to adjust the rears do you have to jack the back up and twist the shock from the bottom of the car? Is this pretty easy to do?

I (we) just became a 2 Mini family. My son's 05 S (10,000 miles) came with Koni yellows and stock springs. The guy who sold it to us used it for AutoX. I believe you are correct about GS.
To adjust the rears you have to drop the struts and adjust the top. I think you will find there is a sweet spot that you will use for both AutoX and daily driver. Maybe try med first to see if you want full stiff or softer. I have ridden about an hours worth of twisty roads and the car feels great. My previous Mini (06) had FSDs with stock springs and other suspension stuff and I was 100% satisfied at track days and autox.
