Suspension Bought some coilovers, have some questions
SuspensionSprings, struts, coilovers, sway-bars, camber plates, and all other modifications to suspension components for Cooper (R50), Cabrio (R52), and Cooper S (R53) MINIs.
and just to clarify, this lower et = moves the wheel towards the outside
late edit:
fyi my 215/45-17 on 17x7 et 37 rub the rear arch at 1.5 inch drop (there was no rub with the stock 17x7 et 48 with 5mm spacer)..it can get tight back there!
It's a fixed position on struts, but if you're talking about coilovers the lower perch will move as you spin the coilovers down. The position is then fixed wherever you set the coilover perch.
Granted, the lower perch of the Vmaxx's is much smaller than that so I don't think you should have any clearance issues. It's something to keep an eye on. If you want to go lower but it will hit your tire....buy some spacers and longer lugs.
