hello people, just as the title says, is therer any guide to installing coilovers by yourself?

 

I don't know of a DIY walkthrough but it is doable yourself as long as you have the tools (spring compressor).

 

Search for the How-To's in the 1st gen [R53] sub-forums, there are some lowering spring install how-tos. Installing coilovers are virtually the same as springs; the tools needed are all the same. The only differences involve the feature set of the coilovers [spring pre-load, damper length adjustment, damper valving adjustment].

 

i think alta has a pdf that was helpful when i did regular springs. really simple
