Help confirming shaft diameter...

Hi guys! I purchased the special socket with cutout window to remove the top nut on the stock strut and I just purchased a set of Bilsteins. I have a few concerns. I spent $55 on this tool but I am starting to wonder if the bilstein shaft is 14mm as opposed to the stock 12mm. If this is the case, the OD on the top nut will likely be 22mm as opposed to 21mm. This is a concern...can anybody confirm this? I absolutely refuse to use air tools on this nut regardless of it being a common practice. Thank you very much in advance for the help!
