Suspension Information About Adj. End Links (Rear Sway Bar)

I would have to do my usual: Is for street or track? Not really appropriate for street. Not only are they needlessly harsh, for street use you need joints that are weather tight or they will not last a year.
Do you just need them shorter? Adjustable for bias? If just shorter, cut them in half, slip a tube over them and weld them up!
For track duty, yea the NM looks very high quality. Check all the vendors, you may find one that used sealed ends that would still be too harsh, but could survive on the street.

The NM eng end links can be used for the street or track. Not sure if you have driven on them before on the street or the track but the are silent and comfortable.
In this case, i think the track versus street distinction is ok but can be a rather naive characterization as many are good in both situations.

I have Way's end links, totally quite. Makes it easy to dial out preload to the sway bar.

I have driven on solid end links. My TVR and my Spit. Open heim joints are not suitable for street use. They are not protected against the elements and will wear and/or bind up in no time. This is the same issue with most of the adjustable rear radius arms. A couple companies do make sealed or rubber adjustable arms. I think at least one company makes sealed end link sets. (looks like tie-rod ends) Don't put race parts on a street car, just as you don't want street parts on a race car.
When I changed my rear bar, I did not notice any pre-load enough to concern myself with for street use. Of course, for track use, pre-load is a standard adjustment.

Hey MINI33342 I forgot to thank you personally for the information about Powergrid End Links. It looks like I will go for their end links
I also checked Way Motor Works and their end links look just like Powergrids.
Anyway I want to again thank everyone for their help. jdsmin

We are still offering the TSW endlinks and have them in stock. They are by far the best end links. They are super strong, and make absolutly NO noise.

How easy or difficult is it to replace endlinks...thinking of picking up TSW Powergrid Endlinks, but hesitant on installation. I've done some small installs on my MINI, but is this install left for the pros?
What does it mean by preloading the swaybar when installing the endlinks?
Are there any step by step instructions with pics available...tried this researching on the internet before I posted, but no luck

They are a direct replacement....just a bolt at each end. Only thing you need to do is make sure both are the same length as the OEM's are if you haven't lowered the car. Otherwise just make sure the sway bar is level when loaded and both endlinks are the same length (unless you are corner balancing the car)

Pretty easy to do. I used Whiteline Adjustable end links and I found them on Amazon for $135. I am on JCW springs and sit about 1/2 lower than stock. These links would be too long for any MINI lowered more than that in my opinion.
