Rear Suspension Bushings replacement at 110K question?
Hi Guys:
My MCS has bout 110 K miles on her. I had the struts replaced with Koni FSDs and had an H sport sway bar put on about 2 years ago. The rear suspension was making a lot of noise this winter so I went ahead and greased the sway bar. The suspension is still making a knocking noise and I can hear the spring. The guy that assisted me thought that the struts were bottoming out.
I am going to get the struts checked at which point they probably need to take the rear suspension apart.
Are there rear suspension bushing that should be replaced that could be responsible for the noise? Are there other parts that need replacement that could be responsible for the knocking sound?
Thank you for your help.

Hrmm,
Your stock rear suspension bushings are literally foam..
I switched to Bilstein PSS9 coilovers, and the rear suspension bushings were way too cushy, so I tried the Mini Madness poly rear suspension bushings. They are great!

I noticed a knock from my car starting yesterday. I just got in from inspecting. With the car up and the wheels off I hit things with a rubber mallet and when I pounded on the right rear swaybar end, it clunked. The left side did not. I took off the endlinks and the right one's heim joints were loose (early Alta endlinks.) I'll be getting some TSW ones from WMW.
The point is, your endlinks could be loose (not only the nut, but the very ball joint/heim joint within), even the OEM ones can get loose.
I also see that my left rear strut has more flex from the top than the right, so I'll be getting those polyurethane bits for the strut top. (all nuts and bolts are at the correct tightness.)
