Upgrade the springs

Hey All -

So I'd really like to mod my suspension. I don't track the car and probably never will (coilovers aren't an option because of price and lack of comfort).

I drive my car daily on the earthquake-rippled streets of San Francisco, so I need comfort. However, I'd really like to lower the car by about an inch. I've been doing some reading and have narrowed the most popular options down to H&R, TSW, and M7 sport springs. I'd be bolting these on with the stock struts (I'll replace those with Koni yellows later...), and I'd purchase a rear sway bar and adjustable lower control arms to make up for the negative camber.

From what I've gathered, TSW has great feel and comfort, but hardly any noticeable drop. M7 has a good drop but can give up on comfort, and H&R is similar to M7.

Does anyone with experience on these springs have any direction on which would be the best of both worlds? Any information/tips/pics would be much appreciated!! Thanks!

Not sure how well any lowering spring will be on stock struts, but you will lose handling with comfort.

I rode in a car with H&R progressive rate springs and it seemed pretty comfortable.

I plan on utilizing the stock struts until they burn out, but I'll replace them when they get to that point.

I guess I should have worded it this way: What are the most comfortable, lowest-sitting sport springs that don't sacrifice handling? Many thanks

Am I correct by quoting that the stock springs are progressive as well? Not that I care much, but it's interesting knowledge to have.

Thanks for the info!!
