After one install of the Alta, we changed the leaky motor mount, and also put in Power Flex bushings in the lower motor mount. It fixed the problem for our customer.

Installed my USS tonight - on jack stands - had a small air drill so I had enough clearance to drill straight - no problemo. Easy install in about an hour including cleanup.
This thing truly is incredible. I have a stock S sport suspension - no other suspension mods. I took the car out to my closest nasty off camber rough pavement S curve. And it was like I was ON RAILS compared to before. Now I really understand what the whole "go kart" handling thing is all about - I was blown away. You can feel the suspension doing what it's supposed to, instead of fighting off the gyrations of the chassis...
I was highly skeptical. How can 10 lbs of aluminum make the kind of difference everyone has described (even if it does cost $350)???
Well, I'm here to tell you, IT DOES. WOW.

Yep. I'm glad I did it first - I think this and the adjustable rear swaybar I have coming will give me what I'm personally looking for suspension-wise. And a whole lot easier and cheaper than many quixotic adventures...

I installed the USS that was removed from my wife's cabrio on my car this weekend (we pulled it off her car last summer since she grew tired of the interference with the MillTek). No issues with the inserts this time around - I bought a used right angle drill off eBay to be sure I had clearance (suggestion to M7 - don't include an 8 inch long bit to drill 16g steel! ).
Quick test drive. Clunk! Put the car back up on ramps and put two extra washers at the rear (already had one). Test drive = ok. BUT! Road trip to Baltimore to sell the wife's cabrio yesterday....once the exhaust heats up, it bangs on the front USS piece.
Is M7's official solution to add more washers all around? I hope that's not the case...it looks a bit silly already, hanging so low.

Ciao for now,

I'll infer from the deafening silence from M7 that this is indeed the case. Perhaps you can make up a special batch of matching parts:
In all seriousness, I realize it's impossible for any company to produce a product that works 100% of the time with other aftermarket parts (same could be said for all OEM configs), but I'm batting 0/2 here with two of the more popular exhaust systems out there. Add to that the M7 bracing is hitting the OEM cat and I'd say the tolerances are just too tight with no margin for error.

<patiently waits for a reply>

The silence is never deafening here at the headquarters, but we do work
hard and we can't hang here at NAM all the time...
We sold close to 400 M7 USS units last year and very few issues crept up
that was un-solvable.
If any of you have issues that needs my attention....... Call
I'm always available .....
