How many people lower on say... H-Sports and don't switch to aftermarket shocks or rear control arms. Is the 1" drop enough that you HAVE to do so?

i recommend a quick search. this has been discussed many times.

on my 03 though, i am not running aftermarket dampers as they are
higher damp rate than late 04's+.

A nice lowered pic from MotD this passed weekend...

Don't know exactly how low, as we (LuckyDog Garage and I) didn't measure. We lowered and lowered and lowered, and then raised it until it didn't rub or scrape on hard corners. I'm using Megan Coilovers.

Still got a wee bit of rub on the Dragon, but it's the Dragon, c'mon now. So when track days come, it will be easy to tighten the suspension with a few clicks using the Megan damping system to avoid rubbing on the track.

Lookin' sweet homey...I'm still trying to catch up to you but I'm BROKE! Oh...and keep a lookout for a CF ViS hood for me! Muy importante! I can't put the M7 X-treme Hood scoop on with no hood now. Can I? And I just can't tape it to my Cooper hood.

Here's my Cooper, lowered on H-Sports, and FYI I have not changed any of the other suspension components. I had it aligned after I put the springs on, and so far the tires seem to be wearing the same as before. I rotate between two sets of wheels every 5,000 miles.

partsman - that looks way aggressive. I love it. How is the negative camber on those springs? You wearin' out your tires? I may have to switch from H-sport to the M7 springs. looks good. Do you have any rubbing or anything? Anyone know how much it lowers the car with the M7's?

My camber is perfect and I only rub on large bumps, but I am running 45 series tires. Love them.

Thanks goldcountry. No rubbing at all on the Dragon and that's with 215/45 tires. I just had it aligned at work before the Dragon and everything was within spec. I am going to install some rear camber links just to be able to dial it in.
