Alta suspension....Empty fuel tank, 18's
I'm the car at the back, with s-lites on. The car in front is running eibachs, R90's with Michelin 215/40/17 tyres
I don't get any rubbing. With the 18's I'm running and 18x7.5 215/35/18 tires, et40. With the 17s, I run 215/40/17 - stock s-lites, et50.

Do you like them? i was going to ask to see pics of H&Rs before i saw yours. My MA has them on his car, and i really like the looks, but im curious about the ride quality.

I like them, but I don't have much to compare them to since the car came with them.

Here's a thread with pics of my car, before and after M7 springs. I'll post two below. I love them. They're so much nicer than stock, as far as ride goes. With the H Sport Comp bar, they handle ridiculously nicely too. I love to track my car, and have yet to make it out with the new setup, but it's gonna be sweet
!

Note: I'm also wearing 215-45-17's now. The gap is completely gone- and no rubbing or bottoming out!.

H-Sports. Love the look and it's still low enough to scrape EVERYTHING!
The ride is great, too. Soft when cruising and hard in corners.

All great looking rides.
I did a quick roll-up of springs and coilovers. Here is what I saw...
Springs:
H Sport
Alta
M7
Eibach
Coilover:
Leda
Bilstein
KW
Koni (?)
Spax
H&R
Which one is best? I guess it is up to your preferences in ride and handling...and of course your budget too.

Some SSR Professor knock-offs from ebay. CHEAP, but also fairly light ~18lbs (compared to the S-lites). Rota is currently making a copy as well in many colors.
17x7, et 38 still using stock 205/45/17 runflats
Using the money I saved on some dedicated track wheels and tires.

I have no idea what is best, but I can tell you that I haven't been 100% happy with my alta's on the street (I'm sure they are good for the track) - they are a bit rough on both the 17's and the 18's.

Thanks!
No spacers, no rubbing, no problems! When the H&R's were on for 1 day it rubbed so bad, and bounced like I cut the springs...

What goes around comes around. The H&R Coilovers formerly owned by vdubdoug are still in action.

So, it's true
...that everyone with a DS/* MINI has lowered it? Seems that way to me looking through this thread.
H-Sport springs. I still hit the occasional speed-bump, and transitions from streets to cross-overs are killer above 2mph.
