Thanks Fracky and from the looks of your car you enjoy your Mini as much as I do! Sweet ride man

The wheels are made by Verde and they are called "Black Ice" I'm running 18" X 7.5" with 215/35/18 Toyo's

I have absolutly no idea how much these things weigh. They are chromed and painted so I'm guessing they weigh allot. I bought these totally for the look, didn't even ask how much they weighed . I'm about to take them off the car for the winter. I'll throw one on a scale with the rubber to see what the weight is compared to my stock wheels

Thanks for the compliments everyone!

but the RSS's...
They are radical.
They are the only coilovers i've had so i don't really have much to compare them too.
I did have h-sport lowering springs before this..
Worlds of difference!

Yep, but give it a few hundred miles. Trust me. The day I had mine installed, the rear sat an inch lower and the front looked about 1/2 inch higher than before. It'll drop, and sit really nice. Plus, you've got a newer car than mine, and I'm guessing, the newer shorter front TSWs, so you should end up slightly lower than my car sits. *envious*

Nope, I won the Springs @ MotD so they're the "old" fronts And, I've got about 1k miles on them by now

Hmmm, your roads must be WAY too smooth. Well, mine are the "old" springs, too, and mine dropped down quite a bit lower than what your picture shows.

Maybe a little off-roading...

The TSW kit always lowers a bit more in the rear than the front (I kinda like losing the big forward rake of the stock setup), but that does look a smidge high. Did you install some thick camber plates as well?

I'm running the 'beta' TSW springs, so I'm not a great baseline, but Jango sits lower than that in the front.

Call TSW up and get them to send you the newer springs. I'm sure they wouldn't mind Great customer service.

I've got the IE Fixed Plates... but they were installed before the "Before" pic as well
I made sure that the springs were correctly seated and they HAVE settled a bit... just not as much as I'd hoped. The last thing I want to do is be a PITA though, after all, I DID get the springs for free

I'm not an expert with suspension, but I highly doubt the front springs will settle more than an 1inch, if it they do the springs are extremely soft which I do not event want to imagine the ride/handling. Second, from the picture he provided, the front looks 3+inches from tire to fender trim, so even if springs settle more than 1" (lucky if he gets 2"), car will still have a "reverse rake" look (rear lower than the front).

Drill - Please post pics again when springs settle, like to see how much it actually dropped.

Sorry, I did not catch the part he put 1k miles on the springs already. Then I agree, that's enough run time for springs to settle down. Maybe if he put another 1k of run time, he may get another quarter inch drop (front and rear). All in all, the rear will look lower than the front.

slightly off-topic...

Is it misleading for MINIUSA.com to be showing photoshopped pics of slammed MINIs on the front page? Looks nice though!
