There is really no such thing to be quite technical about it. There are not struts in the rear of a Mini.
The other point is that this so called strut bar mounts no where near any part of the rear suspension. So, if you need a mini clothes hanger bar, then maybe it's a good idea.

After tearing apart the interior of my MINI, I realized the location the "rear stress bar" mounts is not anywhere near structural, it just holds the rear seat-backs, and is flimsily spot-welded to some extra sheetmetal, not structural at all.

Yes do not waste your $$$.

I like polished bars mostly for the bling factor. I got a front and rear set from Mini Mania. The front bar is ok although the flange is a little thin so i remade and rewelded them at work to make my own version of M7's with scrap aluminum at my shop.

The rear bar I believe is Pilo racing.Other than seeing a nice shiny bar it's relative useless. It mounts to where the seats brackets are so its not very effective. Also what I found to be a pain in the *** was they redesigned the hook that clips the rear seta in place. Of course now they sit up about 2 inches. I would really not recommend ewasting cash on this.
