Got a flyer today "SACHS" replacement shocks....curious on how the ride is. Has anyone out there tried this name brand before? I heared of it on VW's new on the MINI, with H-Sport...maybe
I read an article in European Car a few years ago about what I think was a set of Sachs shocks matched to a particular set of springs on a VW Passat. The article was very complimentary about the set-up. However, there is so much more experience and first hand testimony about the effects of Koni shocks (particularly the FSDs) or the JCW shocks (if matched with their springs) that I don't know why anyone would want to venture out as a test "mule" unless the price point was very, very low.
Had Sachs on an Audi 5000CS Turbo Quattro.... think they were factory. All I can say is that they were much better then the blown Konis I pulled out of it!!
