This is the 3rd best intercooler for the r53 , best being the grs charge cooler then the gp ( you'll never find one) and then the grs motorsport.
It has the least amount of boost drop vs any other intercooler and yet still cools better too..
the gains you'd get and feel would be night n day vs those hobo ebay intercooler. Trust me ,i did extensive data logging and on road testing of about 10x different intercooler on my built r53..

You might have convinced me, lmao. My car has 2% ati lower and 15% upper. So, it might be overkill.

 

You would definitely benefit from this intercooler with that extra heat you’re producing. This supports those modifications.

 

no , it'd definitely help. Absolutely not over kill but then you can step up to a 17% then if you want..
​​​​​I'd do a 19%( 17% plus 2% crank is pretty much same) for street ALL DAY but if it's sees track time unfortunately the sustained rpms aren't ideal but for street rips from light to light or back road corner carving Absolutely.
