I wouldn't go as far as saying a non-polished lip is a flaw, rather, a non-polished lip is cheaper to produce than polished lip.

And some of you guys still continue to compare apples to apples. These are replica LMs. Replicas will never be as good as the real thing, so please stop comparing!

If you guys have extra $4k, buy the real BBS LMs. Now if you're looking to save a lot of money and want to get a similar look, this is the way to go. Some times I wonder who is smarter, the guy with the same paying job that buys $4k wheels (just because) or guy who buys $750 wheels.

neither person is smarter.....buying aftermarket rims to begin with isn't logically a good idea to begin with Modding is just a disease we all have

You're right though....flaw wasnt the right word....though you used it for the paint which i dont really think that's a flaw either. They are just where the BBS might be considered better.

There is nothing wrong with the reps....i can't wait to see them on a MINI.

ive been eyeing this thread for a bit...
i dont know the exact specifics for the LM's to be sold in this thread but i found some BBS LM replica's being sold a while ago for bimmers here.

The original specs in the listing for this "cancelled" group buy were 17x8.
further investigative reporting tells me that these will be/are:
cast 1 piece
24 lbs each
ET43

the ones in the bimmer forum link above are one piece with removable bolts so if you do want to paint/polish, etc you have the option. not sure if the 17" reps will be the same though.

Too bad these aren't 18x8 at $750.. I would've purchased a set already....

Trace, could you by any chance see if they could do a run of 18x8?

The ALT's were only 18x8 and 18x9 anyways, so it couldn't be...
