Where are these wheels made, what country?

Are they 2 pc or just 1 pc cast?

Wheel weight?

BBS caps will they work?

If you can get these made in an 18x8 for under $1000 for the set, I will SERIOUSLY consider the wheels.. 17s just too small for a stepped lip...

Please tell me you wouldn't put BBS centercaps... that just screams RICE.. One thing is not being able to afford the real thing and just getting reps, but its a completely different thing to try passing reps off as authentic. Not saying you can't afford 'em cause you already had a set of BBS just saying its rice...

My guess is 1pc cast and prolly like 18-19lbs for the 17s

If the wheels are forged, sign me up!

But since they will most likely be cast, I would also like to see some more specs on the wheels before I make any decisions.

WakeMCS, don't bash for wanting to put BBS caps on the wheels . You are buying a replica set of wheels and I would rather have BBS or MINI covers than BMW ones. Rice would be more like putting on a set of 20" chrome wheels with NOS emblems.

I am asking for others here who might want these wheels. I would go for the real deal or nothing when it comes to BBS

OK, I'm sure it's nothing but Armani suits, caviar and Dom Perignon over there, too.

Are 18's an option, or will he do 17's only?

Ditto. It's likely that these wheels will be more show than go anyway, so we might as well go for 18" if we have the option. I'm in if this can be done, because I'm not sure whether 17" will do the wheels and the MINI justice (pics, anyone?).

Besides, (correct me if I'm wrong) the real things aren't exactly the lightest.

All,

I should be getting full details around the replica LMs this week.

In regards to 18s, they can only make 18x8.5. He is NOT certain if 18s will fit MINI "perfectly" - you may have to make some minor mods. to the wheel arch.

Below is an "authentic" 17" BBS LM. Posted incase some of you guys never seen LMs on MINI - IMO, size is perfect!!!

Thanks!

Yes. Perfect size for the MINI. That guy is running 215/45 17 tires, also, so it fills out the wheel wells a bit more, too.
