TE37

When faced with this question I decided the Madeline was worth 15 lb 17's
I did not have $2500 for wheels

Finally found my white Volk TE 37's 17 X 7.5 on ebay. paid $1200 shipped
with good tires-wrong size. sold the tires for $125 and mounted GS D3's
215/45 These wheels will not go with the car should I trade. no interest, but I should be able to get my money back

i can't talk anyone out of buying sweet wheels.....my street wheels are HRE 447's w/ a brushed finish and my track wheels are SSR type C-RS's....ok, i'm a wheel junkie. nothing will justifly the cost of my wheels other than the fact that i love them and could afford them. sell a kidney and buy whatever you want! we will need pics (including sugical scars from the kidney removal). have fun.

they look great and i'm sure that you love em. that is the most important factor. wheels make a big statement. my car looks completely different w/ street vs. track wheels. i'm glad that the thread didn't work (no one talked you out of what you really wanted). well done

wheels

there is one picture in my gallery where you can see the Volks

If I win the lottery and order a Pepper White MCSc with Sidewalk package,
the anthracite wheels (like yours) with polished edges would be perfect. Or maybe even paint the centers to match the sidewalk leather interior....matching stripes too

Perhaps a wheel repair shop could do that to my white ones.

I DO feel the difference in performance with lighter wheels.

We have 16 X 7 polished forged 10.6 lb wheels on our Xb. One of these days I would like to bolt them on the Mini just for fun. 38mm ofset

Thankfully I don't just dream of how big my retirement portfolio will be...
Sometimes I just like to live in the Mini Moment!

Here is a though...
If you are willing to spend 2500 on your car, why don't you spend it in mods and suspension parts, leave the stock wheels and build a "sleeper"? Just imagine the face on the unsuspecting Mustang owner when you blow his doors off in front of his girlfriend... Priceless!!!

Love the Volks! I was thinking that more blue/white minis should get those And, I like your last sentiment, too
