S Lites

Can the S Lite rims be polished. If so has anyone done this? Would really like to know how it looks.

Or would it be better to powder coat. I've seen Mirror Silver coating, but would this add more weight than the original paint?

TIA

I was at MME last month and saw some really nice powdercoated s-bricks: one set was yellow to match his body color, another set was red on a blue car done up in an homage to the USA (US flag on roof). If you're running runflats, you're probably pushing 44-45 lbs a wheel (that's what mine weighed when I removed them). I wouldn't worry about the extra weight (probably only a few grams.) You figure a gallon of paint weighs a little over 8 pounds, and you can paint an entire bedroom. So you're only going to add an ounce or two.

You could probably try polishing up the inside and see what it looked like.

I have absolutely no idea how much it costs to powdercoat 4 slites. Unless you have another wheelset, you might need to put your car up on jacks for a few days.

Good luck!
