Have 2007 17" Crown Spokes with 205 45 17 mounted on my 2003 MCS with stock suspension and brakes. Want to go to non-runflats for a better ride and understand that 215 45 17 will also fit without clearance problems ...is this so ? thanks
going up from 205 to 215 will increase your rolling diameter from 24.26 to 24.62, which is ~1.5% larger, which *should* be OK, but keep in mind that your speedo and odo will read that 1.5% too low (IE, you will be going faster than your speedo says)
yah, but that speedo difference is like within the tire pressure tolerance.
from a dressup perspective, those new R56's need a thicker tire to withstand
the boldness of those huge fender arches, unless you paint them. looks
unbalanced.

Yes, you are fine, the 215/45-17 is taller than stock and wider but it's close enough.
If you do lower your MINI then you can start to get a little rubbing in the rear outer edges.
