Road Force Balancing

Just got a new set of rims and tires. I found out that they were not road force balanced with a Hunter GSP9700 like the ones from Tirerack. Is it worth
having my tires re-balanced by a local who uses the Hunter GSP9700 road force balancing machine?

wheel beads

Have you read up on the tire beads that you put in your tires through the valve stems. My Mini tires are fine but I used these on my truck and they are great. One time deal, never balance again.

JMHO, but it totally depends on the wheels and tires... The lighter they are, the harder they are to get balanced. We had to take a couple of our track sets back to have them road forced after we noted significant vibes at the track (over 70 mph).

I bought a new set of Konig Rewinds this year. They were balanced before they shipped but were way out after mounting. I had them balanced two more times before the Road Force system was recommended. The Road Force system detected some seating problems that were corrected by re-mounting and then re-balancing the wheels. I don't have the slightest wobble now. And the fun part was taking my MINI to a Ford dealership to have the balancing done. All the Ford salesman and customers were drooling over the MINI.

Sounds like to me that paying a few extra bucks to have it done right would be worth it. Thanks for the input.

unless it really vibrates at highway speeds, getting it redone is all in your head.
