i quess it depends on if you would take that chance or have a better performing tire. The first thing i did when i got my mini was change the wheels and tires. Knock on wood i havent had a flat yet

I too am with both sides...

Run-flats give you some peace of mind on a dark, rainy night.

Regular tires are carried in more places (good luck trying to find a run-flat in a rural town... esp. one in our size) and are serviced by more places. The ride is more harsh and you lose some performance.

If it were my wife's car, I'd re-mount run-flats on it as she is unlikely to use Slime, a plug kit or a compressor. She's probably not going to change a tire, either. It's a good choice for her.

For me, I switched to non run-flats. I'm pretty handy. I don't mind using a Slime/compressor kit (that's in the boot all the time) or a Dynaplug kit (that's also in the boot all the time). On club drives or drives over 100 miles, I'll throw the MC spare (in a bag from the NJ Baglady) into the boot, just in case. On a long road trip (1000 miles to the Dragon), I'll throw one of my full-sized track wheels/tires into the back and strap it down as is shown above on this thread. The performance and comfort gains are well worth it to me.
