My new bling.. Polished factory wheels!
Here the deal, purchased a set of R98 webspokes. I liked them thought they need a little something extra thou.
Sent them to a buddy,
- Split the wheel (took it apart)
- Stripped the factory paint
- Polished the centers and the barrels
- Clear coated both
- Put the wheels back together.
Here is a preview picture:

The wheels that they are laying behind them are 3 pc wheels. I had them done professionally by a wheel manufacture.

Once polished you have to be careful to keep them clean and no use any wheel cleaners that ruin polished finishes.
Also don't allow much brake dust to sit on the polished surface for very long, it can corrode the finish.
Hey, how much does it cost to do? Anyone want R90 two piece rims done polished?
The satin clear finish that comes stock is fairly durable as is, not too bad to keep clean and resists most road junk.

What factory exactly? That of HRE, iForged, DPE, Fikse, Kinesis, COR, etc???
You could just put the assembly back together yourself. Just make sure you torque the bolts down correctly and seal the gap with silicone before you mount the tire...
EDIT: It's actually none of those. What wheel manufacturer is it? lol

Question about the r98s- when you took them apart- are the lugs/sockets around the rim actually functional on these wheels? Or, did you have to torch them apart, then torch them back together?
Either way, I can't wait to see them on your MINI!

It was one of those you listed, it was done as a favor and it was costly. To my knowledge none of these companies offer this as a service.
