have not had to dremel anything to make these fit.

try running 37mm on this. it is guaranteed rubbage.

I dont know about definitely rubbing... Konky runs 17x7.5 at that offset and has no rubbing problems.....and his car is much lower

I say go for it....worst comes to worse, you do some trimming and add a little more camber. You're talking a few mm's

you should have no problems.

better yet, i run 275's on 10" width wheels on my G. still doesn't rub.
you are fine. lol

The R56 guy was probably just trying to be helpful, and likely didn't realize the different chassis specs.
it was my understanding that the wheel offset of the R56 and R53 is the same. also, my wheels were purchased from someone who had a R53; but i forgot to mention this as i thought i did but guess i didnt type out what i thought.

this guy wants to run 215/40/17.. the difference isn't big at all b/w a 205/40 and a 215/40.. not to mention Konky is prolly another .75-1 inch lower than he will be on H-Sports...

GET THE WHEELS AND TAKE PICS!

I had 17x7 ET36 with 215/40/17 RT615 dropped on H-sport and had zero rubbing even with 3 passengers..
go for it... worst that could happen is having to trim the inside trim a little.

lol... read the posts above. depends on the tire, numbers are just
for reference. plus, h-sport or lower, the tire travels the same path
unless the alignment setting is different.

from what i understand, dremeling the arch isn't hard to do.

he's looking at 7.5" which is apples and oranges to what you
had.

it's funny how people keep posting the same schit over and over
and don't read the previous posts.

for reference only...

17x7.5 +40mm running 215/45/17 sumitomo HTR+'s (a/s tires).
no rubbing issues as i expected.

Nice and flush and the car actually looks lower because of the
slightly larger diameter.

picts will come in about a week or so or whenever i feel like it. lol
(im just real tired).

.
Lower based on less wheel gap correct? Because a larger diameter would increase bumper and sideskirt gap.

Dremeling the arch isn't hard....you could even just go in there with an exacto knife and trim it out. Heck, for the front arches, you can just open the hood and part of the arch goes up with it.

yah, looks lower based on the wheel gap. even with the slightly
larger diameter, im still scraping the aero bumper on large dips. lol

i have this predetermined dip on the expressway where i test strut full
bump. works every time.

i've got 17"x7.5", et 38 with 225/45/17's and i rub slightly in the rear with passengers or a full tank of gas... the offset is sick tho. i'm thinking you might rub a little in the rear...

BTW: It is an '03 MCS (R53)

I do have H-Sport Springs, Rear Competition Sway Bar and Front Sway Bar

Wheels I'm considering:TR Motorsports F1- Weight 12lbs.

Thanks that is good news!!!
Does your MSC have a lowered suspension?? Also, hope rubbing is mitigated with 215/40-17 as opposed to 225/45-17, the other measure to ensure against rubbage is Dremmeling the fenders, and a alignment with -1.5 to -2.0 (negative) camber

"Felipe,
I order them, so I don't have any in stock. Tire Rack stocks them. On the Lotus wheels, they will fit MCS, but you may have a small bit of rubbing in the rear, which can be fixed with some small trimming of the wheel well liner.
Hope that helps!"
-Randy

OK, I will check my budget to purchase these wheels. I hope they'll fit or else they'll be on sale at Lotus websites.
