FINALLY! I have wheels!
I finally made my decision between HM4s and Type Is. I decided that I didn't want to risk rubbing with the wider Hamann HM4s. I'm really happy with the AC Schnitzer Type Is! They actually look nicer in person.

im starting to see yellow-ish crap seeping through the cover (silver area). i think
the tire sauce that was barely on the sidewall is getting absorbed.![Sly](https://www.northamericanmotoring.com/forums/images/smilies/sly.gif)
starting to look like old underwear now.

They are the lighter cast version, we needed their spoke design to clear the Wilwood calipers, looks like these wheels would clear even the big Brembos with no spacers or weird off-set.

oops! yeah sorry, they are 17x7.5 mounted on kumho ecsta spts (205/45/17).
they only come in the 17s. looking at the them in person, they look larger for some strange reason. i think it's due to the face of the wheel being so flat. this finish looks so much better than the pictures show.

i got conflicting info on the weight of the wheels. i saw somewhere online the that they weighed 21 lbs but I read on Mini2 that they were 18lbs. So I guess I could have weighed them before I had them mounted but since I am not going to go to the track with them, I wasn't too concerned. I got them for $429 a piece at CEC in L.A.
Yes, I know that's crazy for a monoblock wheel.
I've always loved ACS wheels though and I am really happy with them.

if you are serious about it, talk to John over at CEC. He was really helpful.

I have absolutely no interest in 18's on my car. I wanted them to be 16's for the weight savings but the 4 month wait just didn't sounds fun for me.
My wheels are 16 lbs something, I'd much rather them be about 12 lbs but that just wasn't in the budget this time around. Well, other than going to 15's but nah. Next time though! If I had the cash and space I'd have about 5 sets.

7.5x17" monoblock wheel at 18lbs(MINI2 would noe better) isnt so bad at all, my 7.5x17 modular wheelz weigh in at 17lbs, so ur good.
have u thought bout colour matchin' em to ur MINI?
#2900
hey joker,
yeah i did consider either getting dark silver (color matched) or black, but after seeing them at the showroom, i knew i had to have them in the silver. the finish really pops and you can see much more of the details.
