Just ordered my new wheels today! I went with Rota Subzero, 16x7 in royal steel grey. Rota's inventory showed only 6 in stock and Subydude was able to get me the last full set. I paid a bit more, but don't have to wait. They also hooked me up with the proper hub rings. For tires I ordered a set of Falken FK 452's in 205/50/16 from Discount Tire Direct. Now all I need is for everything to get here...and for the snow to melt!

I know all about waiting. It took almost three weeks for my Rota's to get to me. My tires got to the dealer in two day's. It was worth the wait.

I ordered the Rota's on Wednesday, Subydude got them yesterday and they were shipped last night. I should have them in less than a week.

The Sub zero's are very nice looking wheels, I went back and forth on what type to buy but ended up with the Slipstreams because of there weight. My plan was to use them for auto x and long drives but after having them on the car for almost two weeks now, I'm digging the look and perfomance more and more. The side wall flex of the 16's is a very different feel then the 215/35/18's which don't really flex at all. It took a while to warm up to the look since there a high gloss black and after mounting them, I thought for a second that maybe I should have gone with Royal silver but now I think they fit the look of my car very well. One things for sure, I don't need to keep up with the brake dust as much which I found out with my 18's that are a matt black even though I'm a clean freak and DO wipe them down every other day. I took another shot yesterday which I think shows the color match of the black roof very well.

Wow gnatser, those wheels look GORGEOUS! You need to drop the car a bit though... And did you paint the inside of your headlights body color?

They are custom wheels, made to completely custom specs if wanted by the buyer. My guess would be somewhere in the mid 3k range for the set. Oh and, that's without tires of course.

No offense meant to anyone, but........ If they're a custom wheel, why get them in an 8 lug pattern?

IMO, they look to be drilled 4x100, twice.

This is to make it faster at a pit stop to change the wheels. Or at least that is where the dual drilling wheels idea started from..

Ahh, ok that sounds logical. I think I'd go with studs and nuts if I wanted to pick up speed in the pits.

What he said. Fikse wheels are meant primarily for racing applications. Note, in one series they only offer 17 and 18, in the other 17,18, and 19. They are super light weight and if you check out their website you'll see that they measure every aspect of the wheel and space you have in your wheel well in order to ensure great fitment.

I'll tell ya, it's easy to find both studs and nuts around a race course...

I just went to thier website but they dont have pricing. 2 monhs is a longtime to wait, but in the end the wait is well worth it

They were not inexpensive, most folks will buy a set of 4 wheels for what 1 runs. I looked at a lot of different wheels, I wanted a specific look and certain other specific features. Fikse offers what I wanted at a price I felt was fair for the quality of the product.
