It looks like you live down the street from me. T-Bird and 79th?

After being in California for the weekend, AZ's roads are AMAZING. Never knew you could have potholes the size of bowling ***** on the freeway until coming here.

Some better pics...

I'm just not happy with the look with these wheels... however...

They are growing on me, I might just keep these wheels but relegate them to stickies and get a new set of showy wheels.

That's how i see them. They look great as track/performance wheels for your car, but they don't seem to do the same job that the previous sets did when it comes to show style.

Yup, I live in the condos there just south of T-bird on 79th. I hear ya about CA roads..they are pretty bad. Just seems like there are speed bumps everywhere in this state...or lumpy road construction. I do think it would look better lowered a bit though.

Yes 70spop is correct they are MSW. I only mounted 2 of them to see if their was any rubbing so cant give much feedback. They have a +37 offset and weigh 21 lbs.

I don't have a real good shot of them but might mount all 4 this weekend to take it for a ride if the roads are clear.

I got my clear spat lights off of ebay. $50 or so. Easy to install, too.

Just thought I would try this for a while. No doubt it is a different look. Still haven't decided if I like it.............

My idea was to remove some of the "bling" look and use the available white caps to accent the car along with the white roof and white mirrors. If you think about it, a white roof and mirrors would look ridiculous on most other cars except the MINI. On the MINI, for some reason, you can get away with almost anything outside of typical color and design. This is probably because the MINI is a fashion statement as well as one of the best looking cars on the road.

Now I need to clarify why I did this in the first place. My chrome caps are pure trash....some aftermarket junk to work with the factory wheel molds. There are 4 plastic clips per cap and on some of them, only 2 are left. Made with cheap plactic. The factory ones are high quality and only come in silver and white.....hence, my experiment. Maybe someday, the factory will make a chrome cap for chrome Crown Spokes.

....or else, I will use weatherstrip glue to attach the crap chrome ones..

..........or even better.........NEW WHEELS!!!!!

Wife's car my wheels. The hard part is to find glue strong enough to hold them on. My car's in the shop.

I should take a picture to show you. It looks very unfinished. Bolts are silver/metal.

Ohhh, makes sense why you attempted it then. Although I can see your idea with the white caps matching the white roof/mirrors, it's just not the best look. However that's my opinion, so go for what you think looks best.

Oh and I'd root for new wheels!!! Love the crown spokes, but they're just so heavy. You can easily save over 5 lbs per wheel by going aftermarket.

This is confusing. You have factory chrome Crown Spoke wheels, but they came with aftermarket caps?

Yep!! You got it!! The wheels are factory wheels that have been chromed but the caps are a completely different mold. Looking at the back side of the caps, there is no part number or MINI logo. Also, the factory caps are reinforced with a metal spring supporting the catches that hold the cap. The cheepo chrome ones are not. The chrome ones also are too domed at the emblem to use the factory "Mini" plaque.....weird and hard to explain.

Came back to edit.........all of this is no big deal because at 10,000 miles, I plan to dump the factory run flats for 215 Goodyear Eagles and at that time, maybe some new wheels will catch my eye!! :-)

HAHA!!! Pretty funny!! If you could make them fit, you would have one unique and cool looking car!!

That is a nice "old" mini you got there!!!
