how are you liking the car now that you've had it a bit?
starting to get the hang of this FWD thing, it's crazy how much improvement in comfort & handling i'm getting with the new tires over the OEM runflats.

thanks, you know i've been jonesing for your gram lights for a while but i wasn't able to find me a set so the works had to do.
one more shot
oh, lug openings were 12mm so i had the openings bored out to 14mm, OEM TPMS transferred to the new wheels.
Hi Msteadman thanks for your comments, my car is actually Astro Black and not Jet Black which I wanted but was discontinued shortly before I ordered my car... The wheels are LENSO S73 18" think they go really well with the all black colour scheme im aiming for. next on my list of things I'm wanting is a set of all black door handles and either some all black headlamps or all black or carbon headlamp rings. Just not sure if I'm going to find anyone here in the UK that could supply anything like these...
APC makes some real nice carbon fiber head and tailites i think they would look great on your ride! give em a look!
Really nice wheels!
And doing the beltline looks great too. BTW how is everyone doing that? Vinyl I guess? Is it already pre-cut etc? How hard is it to do? (sorry for all the ?s)
drewster: You've done it! I think it's the combination of the blackout beltline and the bodycolor headlight rings, but that really brings the R56 look home for me. It doesn't look as high, and you've completely removed the googly-eyed appearance. Kudos! Maybe it's growing on me anyway, but yours is (pardon the pun) red-hot. Sweet wheels too...

I used the services of Vinyl Styles for the chili red body color matching, http://www.lylesvinylstyles.net/mini
and did the belt line with black tape.
Went ahead a couple of months ago and sprayed my stock S wheels black with some wheel paint.
Came out pretty well, but i think i need to give it a clear coat finish to protect it from chips and cracks.
Unfortunately, even with clearcoat your gonna have a lot of chips to deal with. eventually the paint will probably flake off altogether.
Aluminum requires a specific etching primer and even then the heat and road debris just kills the paint.
You may want to look into powdercoating them. then youll never have to wory about them.
you are the only one to have noticed it.. I did that b4 I got them to see..
here is the car after the install last sat.. and yes I wish the car was a lil lower..
