Let me get this straight... the factory r50/r53 aero kit fits the r56? If so, does it need body modification to do so? Are there any other example of people doing this?
Nope, the r50/r53 kit will NOT fit the r56. That car isn't an r56...it's an r53.

Probably not...unless that company offers special high heat color-matched paint , it probably won't last long on the brakes. Regular car paint isn't meant to withstand the high temperature that the brakes will reach.

Thats what I figured. It would be great but I doubt I can find a close matching blue in high heat.
Well I removed my calipers, cleaned with brake spray, primed with high temp primer, then used five coats of DupliColor red(until O2 Blue is sold). That was 15k ago and I have no chips. Now thats with daily cleaning and high pressure sprays every weekend!

High Temp primer you say....
Ive used the G2 caliper paint on both my other cars and they worked great after years and years but i painted them on with a brush while still on the car. Is the primer sprayed or in a can?

they do make a kit for the r53 that looks like the r56 aero kit... its called the Orciari kit. i'm sure some vendors here carry it.
This may seem a little off topic, but I've gone through all 200+ pages of this thread and I've collected all of my favorite Mini's and I'm going to make a YouTube video with them. So, I was wondering if you guys had any other good pictures of Mini's like the ones in this thread, or simply post your absolute favorite. Thanks. P.S. I will hopefully post the link to the video later.
Yep. The detail of the caliper in red works well with the red S on your scuttles. Plus the red caliper paint will match better than any blue you can get that won't burn off.
