True, Rally has a good point regarding wheel width and tire type..
The wider you go the more you will shift from Low Profile tires to a more stretched tire to provide more clearance from the fenders under compression.
I'm running Falcon 912's
205/40 Front
215/40 Rear
so there is some stretch to allow the setup to work.
My offsets are:
Front: +43 W/ 11mm Spacers = +32 Offset
Rear: +40 W/ 15mm Spacers = +25 Offset
Front and Rear have a 1" Lip

I'm running pretty wide, 8" up Front & 9" in the Rear.
There's about a finger width between the back of the wheel and the inner wheel well liner.
So it really depends on the offset, running a 3 piece rim can allow a bit more if you run 2" lips, you will end up with more poke... but it's possible..

Midnite coop, what do you think is the highest offset you could run on that size/width wheel? Basically, how much clearance do you have on the suspension components? Looks sick btw. ![Thumbs Up](https://www.northamericanmotoring.com/forums/images/smilies/thumb-up.gif)
Coen, those wheels look sick. You have some damn good taste, can't wait to see how it looks.

The 17x9's you *might* be able to run 30mm but it's very unlikely as you start rubbing on the inside wall. Some people took a rubber mallet to the inner wall and claimed they got a little bit more clearance. I would just stick with 25mm though.
Up front with the 17x8's you can go up to 35mm (like konky right now) and *maybe* up to 40 depending on your coilover setup as some coilovers rub a little more. His setup is basically the perfect offset for those widths. They have a little poke, but the stretched tires allow you plenty of clearance.....you could slam it and still not be rubbing too much.

the HRE 890 above are 19" x 8" wide the tires i'm installing are 235 35 19" just as long as the offset is the same as the oem....mine are 42 et. even though i have my spoiler installed the company recommended 19 x 8.
btw, thanks for all your comments, i can't wait to install them tomorrow.

That's a really big tire. Are you at stock ride height? The outer diameter of the tire is going to be over an inch and a half larger than the stock diameter and you're running an aggressively wide 19" wheel with a super meaty tire. You think they're gonna fit?
Not true once you change the width of the wheel. All the OEM wheels are 7" wide with a 42mm offset. Your 19's are gonna poke .5" further out and further in since they're wider than OEM wheels. Once you start going with wider wheels, you need to start changing the offset to account for the added with.
as long as the offset is the same as the oem

Wow... that's one of the nicest MINI's I've seen.
I know it's basically just a stock LB/B w/ black wheels and a drop, but I love it![Smilie](https://www.northamericanmotoring.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
