DNadar: Get on over to Ace Hardware, purchase yourself a roll of Scotch 33+ electrical tape. Not the cheap stuff, get Scotch 33+. Black out that beltline! It'll seriously take you maybe 30 minutes if you take your time, the tape matches the trim pretty well, and the modification is totally and very easily reversible. It'll cost you maybe $3.50. The difference will shock you. Don't get me wrong, looks great the way it is, but with that tint and a blacked beltline... ![Cool](https://www.northamericanmotoring.com/forums/images/smilies/cool.gif)
Do NOT use cheap electrical tape, unless you enjoy using messy solvents to remove it later. 33+ removes with a pull, but stays on when it's supposed to.

Beltline blackout:
1. get tape
2. cover chrome beltline
If you have anything close to a steady hand, that's pretty much it. I'm sure our vinyl graphics pros would have much to add based on hours of experience, but basically, it's that easy. Here's a discussion on the subject, complete with many tips! https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...shed-ends.html

You don't have to remove the trim to put it on. Its actually really simple and easy to do. Just unroll the electrical tape, and slap it on the belt line! Just be sure to make it neat.
Its funny you guys mention electrical tape, because earlier today before i saw those posts i saw some electrical tape in a buddy's car and applied it to part of my belt line. i really liked the look! i ripped it off though because i did it in two seconds and i did a really crappy job. guess i'll have to go tomorrow and pick up the good stuff!

i know this isn't the "beltline blackout thread" but i have to add that i can't believe it took me three years to do mine*, and yes, it makes all the difference in the world, especially with tinted windows! (coming from the guy who paid for the chrome line exterior package!). ![Thumbs Up](https://www.northamericanmotoring.com/forums/images/smilies/thumb-up.gif)
*(full disclosure: by "do mine" i mean, pay lyle to do it in the hot *** vegas sun while I was lounging @ the bar.)

So since this is the wheel thread I figure I'll throw this out there - I'm currently debating on getting some new black wheels (since my car is blacked out w/ painted red calipers) for ~$500 or so. I'm unsure if I should stick w/ 16" or jump to 17" - I'm currently running 16" OEM bridge spokes weighing 20.9 lbs so I figure anything I get will be much lighter - the 16" wheels I'm looking at are ~15.2 lbs vs the 17" that are about 16.8 lbs - either way my MC will be happy accelerating off the line - here's what I'm thinking about
1) Konig Zero -![](http://www.altaperformance.com/shared/images/products/422/1016_medium.jpg)
2) Konig Feather -![](http://www.altaperformance.com/shared/images/products/374/1797_medium.jpg)
The feather's look similar to the team dynamics but are lighter and cheaper - they also are comparable to the O.Z. Ultraleggera's but are also cheaper and have an evenly spaced spoke design vs. the O.Z.'s that are sort of in pairs.
3) Rota Boost -![](http://216.127.72.208/_images/rota/boost_fbrl.jpg)
I'm looking for (helpful) suggestions / ideas from all you wheel junkies out there - yes I know they may be replica wheels etc but that doesn't bother me! Thanks for your feedback!
