understood...
then what are some good lightweight wheels, with a semi-fat lip, that i can snag for around 1500...

I agree Rally didn't mean to start to much drama I figured former VW owners would get the joke. It always boils down to you get what you paid for. If you pay for 600 dollar wheels well guess what you get 600 dollar wheels, Being a previous owner of some Schmidt TH's and buying them new. I know that you get what you pay for and unfortunately for me, mine got permanently borrowed. One of the down sides to being in baller status. But it always boils down to what you want and what you can afford and meeting somewhere in the middle.

Haha I was in full agreement with the "whiney" comment. I just figured I would clear up the wheel thing in case others didn't catch the joke

MHW makes the kit. if you so choose to, you may install only the rear.

Advan F7s or T7s (can't remember the model name) but they're discontinued so as rare as hens teeth.

With all those wheel and tire swapping, do you guys still have the tpms? I was planning to get a set of 18's on my 2010 MCS and dont bother putting tpms but then again I know the sensor in my dash with keep coming on right?

i have kept my tpms, but i change my wheels like every 6 months, and i dont bother putting in the tpms, the light comes on and stays on, you dont even notice it (unless you're really **** about things like that), and you should be able to feel if you're running low on air, useless imo.

I don't bother. And yes, the light will come on every day. You get used to it instantly.

With a very low-profile tire like you have on 18" wheels on a MINI, the sidewalls are quite stiff. It's very hard to detect that you're low on air until you're REALLY low. If you're going to do without TPMS, check your tire pressure fairly often.

If your wheels are compatible with them, I don't see a reason not to use them.

cause I always buy wheels with tires from people on this forum or friends i know, so its a hassle to have the tires removed, sensors inserted, then mount the tires again...

i dont know, i can usually feel when im low on air, i mean i do check it too, but you can still visually see comparing to the rear, which has lost zero air so far..but yeah, checking wouldnt hurt

xxr 513 16x8 et0, they'll poke about 1 1/2" past OEM arches if you follow the same specs as mine.

Do they make them in a different offset - like, what are the front wheels? What is the lowest offset I could realistically run with stock flares?
