They are Hamann HM4 17x8 with 215/45/17 Toyo P4s. They weigh a ton and cost a fortune but they are well worth it!

I now have my Ro-Ja wheels and tires for sale - they come with good 205/45/17 euforias, centric rings, and lugs for asking price of $750 (the wheels retail for about $280+ each and these are a month-and-a-half old. At 14 pounds, they are the lightest wheels around - and they are very good quality American made. Photos: http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/4...108Aat2jdu2aty

rick- looks good!

I think GMP Performance has some replica ones or the one piece versions
that are much less expensive.

18" ATS DTM Competition

I have had these on for a few months.

I just put H&R Springs on last week. That really made a big difference in looks.

nomios- those rims look great on your car.

one personal thing though, you don't have to listen to me, but those
yellow logo's on the center caps need to go! it clashes with your
other colors. (just my opinion) over and out.

(I would sand it down completely, paint it silver and clear coat,
rub it until shiny).

Damn that car looks good. Love the exhausts. Is that the stock grille you painted? I wanted to do that, because I don't like the Aero too much, but I heard that the paint will chip off the outer chrome portion. What did you guys use to paint it?

The wheels weight 24lb (close to a ton, same as S lights), about $300 a piece. OZ manufactures them for Haman, very strong great for hitting pot holes!!!

rick,
can you tell me the difference in terms of handling and overall feel as oppose to your ro-ja wheels. I ve had the Hamans for a few months and frankly the idea of lighter wheels is becoming real tempting, maybe you can talk me out of it

To tell you the truth, the Hamanns are a disappointment after having the Ro_Ja wheels because the Ro_Jas are so dang light! The lighter wheels are great for acceleration and braking and I noticed an immediate change for the worse when I changed to the much heavier Hamanns (over ten pounds heavier each!) I had the Pirelli run-flats on the Ro_Ja wheels and I thought they were wonderful but I am sure that a stickier tire would be even better, though. I absolutely love the look of the Hammans and I am not a performance-oriented driver, so I will keep them. BTW, where the heck did you find them for $300 each? Autobacs wants $499 each, and that‘s “the bro-deal!”

Here is my car with the Ro_Ja Wheels

I think you can keep the Hamanns. You just need to pump up the motor.

rick,

I got the wheel from a place in LA called F1 motorsports, seen them advertised on e bay for about the same price. Man I was hoping you were going to tell me the wheel change wasn t that noticable . good luck with them

meanboy,

My mini has the JCW kit 210hp (I hope all the JCW haiters or dyno freaks don t jump on me). so far the only engine mod has been a larger throttle body (no real improvment). I do agree with you about adding more power maybe a schrik cam and ported and polished heads will makeup for those fat heavy wheels!

I..must..get...stoptech brakes..

I do like the hamanns but too heavy! if they were under 20lbs each, it'd make my life a lot eaiser choosing what wheels to get.

Winter's off, Summer's on

In the hope and belief that winter is over in Minnesota I took off the winter tires and put on new 17" BFGoodrich g-Force T/A's mounted on Kazera KZ-V's.

Do the MINI center caps fit the AR1's? I am thinking of ordering a 17" set in black.

You can order the center decal from the dealer. I ordered mine from Classic MINI for around $1.60 each. I removed the FLIK decal from the center cap and put the MINI one on. Check my gallery or this post for a look: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=40153

Just ordered 17" Rota Grids for my MCS....

RSpeed should have them in next week. I'm wrapping them in ES100's....I had good luck with these tires on my VW.

I'll update with on car pictures soon.

Could anybody with the Fliks comment on how hard/soft they are? A friend had a set of Wasps on his GTI and had a flat spot from hitting a pothole within a few weeks. The roads are absolute **** where I live so this is something I have to consider.

Also, if anybody had pics of a PS/B with black Wasps on it it'd be much appreciated.
