Show me your WHEELS!

I rub kinda bad in the rear when the car dips down after a bridge coping or whatnot. Gonna stiffen up the Konis and adjust the camber around a little. Gonna try to avoid taking a dremmel to the wheel arch. Its tearing tiny slivers out of my brand new Dunlops!!
Might be going 225s next time around.

Just picked these Enkei EDR9's up for the 2005 R53 yesterday from Adrian at Tire Rack and will be slapping them on this weekend. I went with 16" because I enjoy the current ride. I'll try and post pics.

Gotta' see pics. of those when you get them on!! What are you going to do to the Lug Nuts to make them Black??

When I spoke to the rep at Tire Rack I told him that I was interested in black lug nuts, but he suggested that the paint on the lug nuts tends to chip and begins to look pretty bad. He suggested chrome lug nuts, so I'm going to give them a try. I will definitely try and get some pics up this weekend. Thanks for the thumbs up.

They look cool until you have to actually use them, at which point they look like crap.

That is actually good to know. Thanks for the heads up. I really thought that I wanted black lug nuts until I started doing some sniffing around online. Glad I listened.

I don't have a link here, but I believe there are some nice anodized black aluminum nut / stud kits out there that actually stay nice looking. Other option is powdercoating. Last option is use what ever you want, then place black rubber/plastic covers over the lugs. (similar to what VW does on their oem lugs)
My point being if you really don't want to add another color / finish (chrome) then keep looking for a successful option to keep the color you wanted.
Best of luck and can't wait to see the results.

Only slightly off-topic, but relevant to this thread:
Has anyone come across black plastic/rubber 'caps' that could be fitted over the exposed ends of the TXWerks stud kit? I'm looking to keep the exposed threads from rusting over and would also prefer a more finished look.
I know there must be all sorts of stuff out there that could work, but I'm having trouble finding anything. Has anybody else gone this direction with a stud kit when they moved to new wheels?

Try a hardware store such as ACE. They carry assorted sizes of plastic caps that are used on the top of screws as protectors. I've seen them in black, yellow, green and grey. Hopes this helps...

I'll definitely need to just wander into the local hardware stores and see what they have on offer- thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks!! I cant wait to put them on. I'll probably get tires next week. still debating on 40 or 45 series... I have 205/45's now so Im thinking 215/40.... I'll probably test fit before the suspension install to see if I need any spacers.

You are only the 2nd person that I know of on NAM that has actually gotten these Wheels. I'm sure there are more. I will be putting the Painted Silver ones on Molly in October...I really wanted the RS+M, but I couldn't justify +$1,000 for Wheels on our DD.
Again...can't wait to see them...can we have close ups too??!!

And by the way. they also work great on wheels that have two different bolt patterns (like several Konigs, etc). Simply push them into the unused holes from the back side, and the unused stud holes are blacked out.

If you're interested, I have 3 bagged sets that fit perfectly on the TSW 14mm studs. I bought them awhile back from a place on the net that does radio equipment of all places. No longer doing studs, so I have 3 brand new unopened bags. They're .612 inch diameter and .5 inches deep. Extreme outdoor condition vinyl, and fit the studs perfectly if you have about a 1/2 inch exposed. 20 pieces to a bag, I have 3 bags. $10.00 a bag shipped.

Where did you snag these from, if you don't mind me asking? I've seen a few places online that sell .5" diameter caps in varying lengths, but none for such a small quantity- only bags of 100 or boxes of 500-1000.
