It's all the rage in Europe (I've seen 3er BMW's and VW's in lots of publications)... Enthusiasts running this style is probably the #1 reason why there are so many high-quality hubcentric wheels spacers out there. Looks Great! Bet the handling is insane. Hey! Thanks for sharing!

There's a massive massive difference between the euro-craze of poke as it relates to "stance" and tight wheel fitment versus what you see in those pictures where 90% of the wheels are outside the arches.

New 2011 JCW Black on Black!!

Finally received her in on 5Jan11. I have not been able to post any pictures because of the weather . Daily handwashing and 5 wax jobs later here she is . Sorry about the quality of the pictures but I had to take these in the garage at night. Can't wait until the break in period is over so I can really open her up on the autobahn. Now to start the mods . My winter setup is 17x7 Black Painted Enkei Performance EDR's w/ Blizzak shoes.

You are welcome...I have more pics in my gallery

Graspics are great on the snow....I prefer the look with my 17" Crownspokes and summer P-zeros as it gives the MINI almost a caricature type look.

I was thinking about upgrading to the xxr 513's 16x8 wheels in red for my Grey '03 Mini S......

In addition I wanted to purchase the sport springs from bavauto that drop ride height anywhere from 1'' to 1 3/4'' inches.

With an offset of 0, am I gonna have issues??

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I'm speaking of the Mini picture one of the members put up on page 320. It has the word "Randesigns" in the bottom right of the pic. Black Mini, gold xxr 513's......

How in the world, would that look bad?? Top 3 best looking wheels I've seen on any Mini posted in these forums.

My question is....what do I have to do to make it happen....different arches....shave them?? Or is there some aftermarket wheel arches I can purchase.

Problem is...I've got this addiction for wide wheels...and that whole "mean" looking stance. I was the owner of an '85 BMW Euro e30 323i. I imported Brock B1 wheels from Germany...16x9 and I threw on 1'' hubcentric spacers....toughest looking e30 this side of Washington. Unfortunately, some @sshole red light runner smashed the front end of the car.....I have now moved onto Mini's and am trying to retain that wide, tough look w/ the wheels......

Excuse me?

Did my little story seem fictitious to you or something?

Would you like to see my e30 cardomain page?

That's easy to answer. That car has aftermarket wide arches that are quite a bit wider than stock and cut down on the excessive poke that you would have with et0. Those arches are no longer made and finding them is gonna be difficult. You're only choice is to fabricate your own set of wide arches or find a left over set of those.

I said they will look bad because they will look bad with stock arches. I've seen it done and it pokes way way too much for 8's.

I'm all for aggressive stances, but you need higher offsets to pull them off. 15x8 et35 or 15x9 et25....something of that nature. Leave et 0 to the silvias and datsuns out there. MINI's require slightly higher offsets even when going for the poke look.

I appreciate all the info you provided...

quite honestly it sounds like a pain in the **** to put wheels w/ a 0 et on a Mini. Maybe I'll look into a similar wheel w/ an offset like you suggested...if such a wheel exists?

I am also looking into a grill replacement for an '03 Mini S....the mesh type grill.......maybe someone could point me in the right direction? Or is it solely a complete JCW aero kit?

As requested...

A little trimming and it will work with the standard "S" front bumper. I've decided to go the complete aero kit route...

Hey Thanks!

I would love to go w/ the Aero Kit, but $1,700 is a little bit much for me at the moment. The bonnet grille and bumper grill will have to do for me and they're not too expensive. :-)

Thank God for tax time soon.......First order of business will be wheels/tires and some sport springs to bring her down a bit....

That aero kit does look NICE.....maybe down the road...

Should I be worried....under the bumper grill description is states, "This piece is designed to fit the Aero Kit bumper and requires modifications to fit the non-Aero Kit stock bumper. Extensive cutting and trimming is required for proper fitment. Instructions are not available".

And what about the grilles on ebay...? For $75 + $20 shipping I can get both the bonnet & bumper grille. Just worried about quality and I have a feeling the bumper grille will still require cutting and trimming even though it says OEM direct replacement.
