zrwon,

those are sweet rims, but $600.00 pop will buy the most boom-daddy BBS. What is so special about them?

Let's just say that I paid $1275 US ea. for my FM/5's in 17x12.5 in 1999 but I do admit, I'm reluctant to pay $600 ea. for the Mini today, I'll spend money on other mods for this car.

As for what is so special about them, I won't try to explain but will give you a link where you can download and read some material.

Kosei 16" with Hankook 212

Sticky tires, will be the next Azenis. I am in second place in HS out of 10 cars, mine and one other car on streets, others on r compound. Kosei wheels are light.

thanks for the info., there is a reason why they are expensive. But again, too much, you are right, there is more different ways to spend money on the Mini.

i just swapped to new wheels a few days ago... i was hoping to wait until i mount my wilwood on, but i couldnt wait...
Before:

They were Motegi FF6 17x7 in silver with polish lip.... mounted on severely punished Bridgestone RE750 215/45... lowered with Eibach springs.. no rubbing

Now:

new Rota Subzeros 17x7.5 in Royal Black, mounted on Kumho ECSTA SPT 215/45, there's rubbing at the back when the car's loaded, ill have studs in black too... im taking out the center caps and putting on some brake paint so it looks like as if i got custom CP035s! just imagine next week i should have wilwood 12.2 street kit behind these

yep... a winter project...

i kept the motegis for winter, as my old steel wheels will no longer clear the brakes

the rotas weigh about 16-17 lbs... but i think they are even lighter.. when i pick them up i was shocked at how light they were!

truth be told.. i actually wanted flat black subzeros... but o well

Joker,

The hood is VIS and yes the scoop and hood are all one piece. They made the mold from the stock hood with the scoop in place.

Exactly the same as stock. The overall fit was 99 percent perfect except for a little bit at the grill. But after a little cutting I got it to fit. Nothing major.

Not to hijack but I like the Red Seat/DS combo.. Are they Sparco's? Just curious of the cost.

nah.. i wish they were sparcos

they were sparco knockoffs, from SPW... they cost me locally 900 bucks... so convert that from canadian dollars to US and you'd get the cost

Whoa where did you find the professor copies?
They're the wheels I wanted, but they don't come in 4x100.

You can get the real SSR Professors in 4x100. Just have to find a place that orders from japan.

I got them off e-bay. However, Rota is coming out with a copy of this wheel as well (Rota D2). Do a google search on SSR professor or Rota D2 and you may find what you are looking for.

I actually have custom center caps on the way. But I kind of like them without.
