How do you know when your tires are worn out?
#26
I check my tires everytime I get home with a simple feel accross the tread of each. One note about having the tire flipped on the rim to offset camber wear: The tire will wear faster if you do this, but it will last longer than if you leave it alone. So it is good to flip the tire with heavy inner wear, just start tire shopping once you do.
Outer treads were worn while inner treads were still good. After flipping the good treads were now facing the outer edges. A year later they are worn better on the outer edges and the overall wear is good and about ready for replacements. One of four wheels is very close to the wear bars.
The tires are over three years old.

I've flipped directional tires. Took the right tire and put it on the left rim and vice versa and it wore pretty evenly but I did it early due to a rim swap due to a pair of defective rims.

My tires wear like this as well, I am mad cause one half seems new. I had just bought these Falken RT-615s like 3 months ago.
CAN I ROTATE THEM LEFT-TO-RIGHT AND RIGHT-TO LEFT?? Is it OK? Any tires work better to do this with?

Falken Rt-615 are asymmetric which means there is a side marked to face outside- which is seen in the picture below and the rim is mounted accordingly.
So if you have more left turns to make and you are wearing your left tires more on one side of the car then rotating the wheels to the other side will work ok. But if you are wearing only the outer edges on all tires then flipping tires won't work because your outside tread HAS TO face the outside all the time.
I have directional tires so the tread must move in one direction and outer tread on the right wheel can become inner tread when used on the left wheel. Then flipping can work to use more of the less worn inner tread.
