>>Be sure to get your tires balanced on your first rotation.
>>
>>I had mine checked and only one of the four tires were in balance. One of them was wickedly out of balance and the two others were moderately out of balance. Doesn't look like the factory balance is too good. Where I had mine done, they said other car manufacturers being way bad in balancing tires. My MINI wasn't as bad as most he said.

Darn, I just had my tires rotated (5700 miles, developing good habits) and the guy at STS talked me out of getting them balanced. I knew that there was a reason that I wanted them balanced, I'd just forgotten about this particular post!

He said to wait until you notice a shimmy while driving, or do it every other rotation, that every rotation was overkill. That may be so, but now I wish I'd gotten it done this first time.

Any harm in waiting until my next rotation? Or should I go back and get credited the amount for rotation to balancing?

One says 75-80 lbs for torque, Alex says 90 lbs. Quite a spread don't you think? Which is the CORRECT Torque?
