I know....just wanted to clear things up....cause the other guy was throwing around made up numbers like this:

and then the porsche wheel are +40 et in the front and probable like zero in the rear.
HAHHAH porsches with zero offset in the rear? False.

Porsche are oftened adapted to other bolt patterns cause they can be found with offsets in the 50's (and some are even an offset of 65) meaning that you could get them to et40 . Yes, the rear wheels of porsches are often wide.....but never offset of zero :impatient

have you see how much those 4 x100 to 5 x 114 spacer give to offset?
you mean 5x130?

like at least 25mm or more
yah....or 20mm

Sorry I still disagree with you. The MINI in general benefits [in my opinion, based on my real world testing] from 5-10mm less offset than stock [i.e. in the high 30's to low 40's range]. As Rally said, you'd have to try it yourself before bashing it just because you don't like the idea on paper. I agree that in theory, and with some cars, it's generally a bad idea. With the MINI, it's an exception to the rule.

i never ran bolt conversion spacers, so i guess i am wrong on the numbers on standard porche offset and bolt pattern.

I still would not recomend it to anyone as a good idea.

My main point was " have you see how much those 4 x100 to 5 x 114 (Corrected 5 x 130) spacer give to offset?" I guess if you end up at Et42 ish then it's a valid idea.

I guess my point was really just that people should carefully weigh the importance/value of your reccomendation/opinion if you don't know much about porsche wheels, adapters, and have never run low offset wheels.

I've run stock offsets, multiple aftermarket offsets in the 40's, offsets <20, offsets with spacers...both autocross and street.......and know plenty about porsche wheels as well as adapters. I would highly reccomend them if someone was interested. No, its not what i would put on a race car.......but for a normal everyday MINI? Most definitely....if its the look you want

Or no track time......you would have to be driving pretty unreasonably on the street to ever induce fade. Especially fade that couldnt be solved by simply upgrading the pads and fluid. Even with the 200hp that some MCS's have

Just to clear things up a bit here... the MINI with the phonedials is mine... the wheels have a stock offset of et65 and I had 25mm adapters, which made the wheels sit like a et40 wheel.

Hhahah so do all MINI owners.....using "real hp" and "1.6L" in the same sentence would seem rather funny.

Did you buy 2 sets of front wheels? Looked nice, but the BBS RYII's (correct the model if I'm wrong lol) you have on now are nicer without a doubt..

nope, bought 1 complete set, I believe mine were off a 928... I know the earlier models had higher offsets with no dish. or vice versa, I can't remember. If you search ebay for phonedials, you'll see the many sizes they come in.

Mine were 16x7 et65

I know they made 15" versions as well.

Thanks about the BBS's, but I'm actually thinking about selling them
Time for something new

Hmm, how much are you going to be selling them for? I'm curious to see what you come up with now, your choice in wheels somehow just gets better and better lol

Haven't set a price yet, but I do have to offer them to a couple people first before I post a F.S. thread. I think I had atleast 2 or 3 people say they wanted them when I was going to sell.
