Quality: Rota vs. OEM

Hi,

I am concidering some Rota's but have never seen them "live". How is the quality and finish compared to OEM MINI wheels?

Thanks,
Erik

appearance is clean like OEM, but the durability is a little short. but not
bad like those pos ADR wheels and most cheezo wheels sold at
places like wheelmax where the paint just chips off in sections.

imho, rota's are a decent deal.

oh yah, one thing i noticed.... some of Rota's bronze wheels in the
past looked like crap so before you order see if the store can get a
closeup for you if you plan to get bronze.

the other colors ive seen at stores looked pretty good...

keep em clean, and that's all that would protect them... i was gonna get wheel wax on there, but it's held through track pads, held through toronto's pot holes... and no problem

i got 5 wheels, one bent when i hit a curb, but easily fixed (ive been lazy!) one wheel has some clearcoat peeling, but other 3 wheels has been flawless, and this is after 2 years!

Rota RB

Erik.

I had a chance to take a couple of shots today - hope this helps.

17" x 7.5" Rota RB wheels with 215/45R17 Kumho Ecsta ASX tires

You can see a couple more shots in my gallery.

Cheers.

Thanks everybody for posting.

One thing that always scares me is clear coats over bare aluminum. Our state puts lots of salt on the ground and it takes its toll on a lot of wheels. My wifes Honda has clear coated machined wheels and they look really bad. Is there anyway to prevent this? Are the RB's available in overall silver paint? I really like the look of the polished rim but I am concerned.

Thanks,
Erik
