15" Aftermarket Wheels & JCW Brakes - Has anyone done it?

Ok I've done a lot of research but I can't seem to find out if 15" aftermarket wheels will fit over the JCW brake kit. Tirerack says yes. Mini says no. Just wondering if anyone has actually done this and not had any issues....

Yes. Talk to Alex@tirerack.com for the specifics.

Why would MINI say no?

Either there is clearance or not.

Tirerack does fitment tests using an R56 MCS so if they say it will fit then it will. The JCW brake kit is the same size as the R56 MCS stock front brake.

Tire rack doesn't have a very good selection in wheels.....how likely is it that a 15 will fit? Is it just a very few 15's that DO fit.....or is it just a rare few that DON'T fit?

from the design of my 16" Volk TE37, I'd say the 15" version would clear, but I would try before I buy.

That's weird I got a list of like 45 choices when I look for winter wheels...

I've got 15" Sport Edition D3 wheels that Tire Rack sold me with snow tires. They fit fine on my 2007 MCS that has the front brakes the same size as the JCW. None of the stock Mini 15" wheels will fit.

I got the Winterforce 195/60/15 tires. I've run these tires with studs on my Honda for years and they work fine. Quite a few winter tire selections available. I go with these because I can stud them. My mini's my daily driver and where I live in the Rockies the studs add a lot.

Try searching for Winter wheels
2007 MCS JCW with metal valvestems
I got 15 matches for 15" wheels
Sport Edition F2 15x6.5 $81 each (Silver finish)
Motegi Racing SX5 15x6.5 $91 each (Black with Machined lip, silver)
Kosei K1 TS 15x7 $119 each (Silver, Light Grey finish)
OZ Chrono HT 15x7 $185 (Black, Bright Silver, Matte Graphite Silver)
OZ Ultraleggera 15x7 $185 Matte Graphite silver finish
Motegi Track Traklite 15x6.5 for $224, 15x7 for $232 (anthracite with machined lip and flat black finishes)
Motegi Track Traklite 2.0 (black and silver with machined lip) 15x7 $232 each

It doesn't work when you search the regular tire list for 2007 JCW
Only lists wheels from 17" and larger.
