Just Bought a Set of Winter 15"s

I just bought a set of 15" Blizzak Revo 1 winter tires from TireRack. They are on 'clearance' for $58. So, I'll be taking my 17" S-Lites off soon for the winter.

yeah....$625/mounted and shipped for those on alloy wheels is a nice deal If I didn't have brand new A/S tires from the Discount Tire sale and two sets of OEM wheels in the garage, I'd buy a set. Easier than taking them over to get mounted locally.

We are lucky to have a very good Tire Rack recommended installer a couple of miles from here. Racer Phil always does a good job.

I can find 'good job' from my local TR recommended installers, it's the cost that bugs me ($125-150 for mounting four tires). It's one thing if the tires cost $600, but when they're only $200, it kind of irks me Not to mention it's no longer feasible to have one set of wheels and two sets of tires and mount/dismount for the season.

Racer Phil charged me $48 to mount & balance those Blizzak's. You need to find your own racer Phil.

NTB is the local recommended installer by me. They only charge $12 per tire; mount, valve, and balanced.

Indeed you should find a new installer.

they don't exist in DC Metro. Even Costco charges $80.
