is the suspension that comes with type S cooper considered stock? just making sure...

Suspension questions belong in the Suspension forum for first or second generation MINIs not in Tires, Wheels and Brakes Forum.

Your MINI comes with factory stock suspension and if you have not changed it to upgrade using aftermarket parts then it remains stock.

Suspension that affects ride height-
Shocks
Springs
(or coilovers- which include integrated shocks and springs)
